Malachi Black

Malachi Black is a poet and educator currently teaching at the University of San Diego. His work explores elegiac themes, memory, and personal narratives of trauma and addiction, particularly through the lens of the opioid epidemic in New York City suburbs. Black is also associated with institutions like Copper Canyon Press and Four Way Books.

Research interests include elegiac poetry, lyricism, and the intersection of personal experience with devotional and contemporary poetic forms.
