Magdalena Smusz

Magdalena Smusz is a Lecturer in Psychology at Birmingham Newman University. She holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Salford, along with an MSc in Applied Psychology (Therapies) and BSc in Psychology and Counselling. Her work focuses on neurodiversity, education equality, and mental health.

Research Interests: Magdalena explores neurodiversity, social justice, and inclusive education practices. Her work examines romantic relationships and sexuality education in neurodivergent populations, with emphasis on improving educational frameworks and mental health support.

She supervises doctoral research on neurodiversity in criminal justice processes and loneliness in autistic young adults during transition periods.
