Magdalena Eitenberger is an Assistant Professor at the University of Vienna's Institute of Political Science, specializing in Digital Health, Ethics of Digitization, and Health Policy. She holds a PhD from the University of Vienna (2023), a Master's in Science & Technology Studies (University of Vienna and Maastricht University), and additional degrees in Communication and Political Science. Her research focuses on digital health technologies, telemedicine, and the ethical implications of healthcare digitization.
She has held roles at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Health and Patient Safety and served as a Project Manager in Austria's Ministry of Social Affairs during the pandemic. Currently, she teaches Health Policy, Medical Ethics, and Research Methods at the University of Vienna and Problem-Oriented Learning at the Medical University of Vienna.
Her research has addressed topics such as continuous glucose monitoring technologies, clinical decision support systems, and employer impacts on vaccine uptake. Notable awards include the Fulbright Scholarship for research at Columbia University and a visiting scholar position at Stanford University.
