Dr. Maeghan Hennessey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Oklahoma’s Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education (JRCoE). She previously served as Academic Department Chair (July 2020–July 2024). Her research focuses on educational measurement, transition education, and epistemic cognition, with $5.6M in grants from the National Center for Special Education Research.
Education:
- M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania
- Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (concentration: educational measurement), The Pennsylvania State University
Research Interests: Assessment validation, transition assessment design, quantitative methodology, and epistemic practices. Her work aims to improve outcomes for individuals with disabilities through evidence-based transition assessments.
