Dr. Kate M. Raymond is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education in the Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum department at the University of Oklahoma’s Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. Her work focuses on democratizing mathematics education through socially just practices that empower both students and teachers. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Raymond’s research examines how mathematics education can both marginalize and empower stakeholders. Her articles analyze themes such as curriculum design equity, teacher adaptation during the pandemic, and mythologies shaping mathematics curricula. She actively contributes to initiatives promoting social justice in education through service-learning and policy engagement.
