Stacy Reeder, Ph.D., serves as Dean and Professor in the Department of Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education, University of Oklahoma. She has held leadership roles including Interim Dean (2020–2021), Acting Dean (2019–2020), and Department Chair. Her academic rank is Professor, specializing in mathematics education with a focus on teaching practices, teacher preparation, and curriculum development.
Reeder holds a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics (Oklahoma Baptist University), M.Ed. in Secondary Education (University of Central Oklahoma), and Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum (OU). Her research, funded over $2M in grants, explores mathematics teaching, problem-solving, and teacher education. She has published in journals like School Science and Mathematics and Investigations in Mathematics Learning.
Reeder has advised 17 doctoral dissertations and 40+ master’s projects. Awards include the OU Regents’ Award for Superior Teaching (2015) and two Pedersen Excellence in Graduate Mentoring Awards. She contributed to state-level education policies, including chairing Oklahoma’s Academic Standards for Mathematics Writing Team (2015–2016).
Her service includes roles on the Provost’s Advisory Committee on Community Engagement and the Service Learning Task Force. Prior to OU, she taught in public schools and served as an assistant professor at Oklahoma State University.
