Maciej Biedacha

Maciej Biedacha is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Computer Science, Engineering and Economics at Høgskolen i Oslo og Akershus. His research focuses on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), sustainability, and bio-based construction materials. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Manufacturing from NTNU and has professional experience in environmental engineering within the wood industry and at NORSUS (Norwegian Institute for Sustainability Research). His PhD dissertation addresses bio-based building materials with thermal energy storage functions under the supervision of Anna-Lena Kjøniksen.

Key projects include the Mycobuild initiative exploring innovative bio-based materials. His work bridges practical LCA applications with systemic sustainability analysis across construction, bio-based materials, and energy systems.

Publications include a 2024 report comparing GHG emissions in construction projects. Biedacha emphasizes equipping stakeholders with science-based tools for sustainable decision-making.
