Maarten Boksem

Maarten Boksem is an Associate Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research investigates neural underpinnings of human behavior, including cheating, decision-making, and consumer responses using EEG/fMRI.

Key interests: neural decoding of psychological states, movie/advertisement neural predictors, and cognitive control in ethical decisions. He directs studies on dishonesty modulation and neural reward signatures.

Publications focus on neuromarketing, neural connectivity, and individual differences in behavior. Recent work predicts stock performance from investor brain activity.

Awards include ERIM Early Career Fellowship (2010). He mentors PhD candidates in consumer neuroscience and decision modeling.
