Līga Kamola serves as an Associate Professor (practical) and director of study programs at the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship within the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management at Riga Technical University. Her academic work centers on human capital, human resources, education, and skills development.
With over 40 scientific publications including two co-authored monographs, Dr. Kamola actively bridges academia and industry. She participates in developing professional qualification standards and occupational frameworks for entrepreneurship, while organizing industry-academic events and integrating real-world business insights into curricula.
Her current research projects funded by ERASMUS+ and Interreg Central Baltic include:
- Ekosistēmas veidošana 21. gadsimta STEM izglītības prasmju attīstībai (2022-2025) as Study Process Expert
- Masīva atvērtas pieejas tiešsaistes nedēļa sadarbībā balstītai digitālajai izglītībai (2022-2024) as Contact Person and Project Content Manager
- ChangeMakers (2020-2022) as Domain Expert focusing on youth-led startups for environmental sustainability
