Guntis Springis

Guntis Springis, Ph.D., is a Research Fellow at Riga Technical University (RTU) within the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on tribology, specifically analyzing friction and wear processes in assembled parts, optimizing friction pair lifespans, and investigating the impact of 3D surface texture parameters on wear dynamics. He contributes to teaching courses in metrology, machine elements, and computer graphics. He has reviewed numerous bachelor's and master's theses and has published over 10 articles in SCOPUS and Web of Science-indexed journals, achieving a Hirsch index of 3.
