Ernests Jansons

Ernests Jansons is an Assistant Professor and Leading Researcher at Riga Technical University's Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering. He specializes in dimensional metrology and tribology with a focus on ice friction mechanics. His work examines surface texture interactions with ice and factors influencing friction properties.

Research interests include:

• Development of 3D CAD models for experimental equipment
• Ice-surface interaction dynamics
• Friction coefficient optimization

He has supervised 13 bachelor's theses and participated in six national/international research projects (leading two).
