Lyuba Amitonova

Lyuba Amitonova is an Assistant Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Group Leader at the Metrology Department of ARCNL (Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography). She holds a PhD in Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (2013) and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Twente (Netherlands), focusing on wavefront shaping for imaging and quantum communication. In 2017, she received the VENI grant and joined Prof. J.F. de Boer’s group at VU Amsterdam to develop computational super-resolution endo-microscopy. Since 2019, she leads the Nanoscale Imaging and Metrology group at ARCNL, supported by the WISE Fellowship (NWO). Her research spans computational imaging, fiber optics, and spatial light engineering.
