Lynne Woehrle

Lynne Woehrle is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). She holds a PhD in Social Science from Syracuse University, an MA in Sociology from Syracuse University, an MA in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame, and a BA in Peace Studies from Colgate University.

Her research focuses on documenting how communities transform structural and direct violence into inclusive, sustainable systems. Key areas include racial justice, urban peacebuilding, and environmental policy. She directs the MSP Research Group (Local to Global Community Health), emphasizing community-driven solutions to systemic inequality.
