Chandra Russo is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Sociology and Anthropology Department at Colgate University. Her academic work focuses on social movements and activism within the United States context, with particular attention to how religious frameworks intersect with political resistance.
Dr. Russo's research interests include:

She earned her PhD from the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara in Spring 2016. Her current research involves a comparative ethnography of three activist communities from the Christian Left that seek to imagine and enact solidarity with populations targeted by US National Security Policy.
