Lynn Voskuil is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Houston's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. Her work bridges Victorian literature, environmental studies, empire studies, and gender studies.

Her research focuses on the intersections of horticulture, imperialism, and ecological thought in 19th-century British literature. She is currently completing a book on garden spaces in the British Empire and co-editing a volume on energy systems in the 19th century. Her publications explore topics like invasive species, botanical cosmopolitanism, and the environmental sublime.
Voskuil's interdisciplinary approach connects Victorian literary forms to global ecological and imperial dynamics. Her work has been supported by prestigious awards including NEH Fellowships and the Martha Gano Houston Research Professorship. She is a founding member of the Empire Studies Collective and active in professional organizations like Interdisciplinary Nineteenth-Century Studies and vcologies.
