Lynn Cohick serves as Professor of New Testament and Director of the Houston Theological Seminary at Houston Christian University's School of Christian Thought, Department of Theology.

Dr. Cohick's research expertise encompasses New Testament Studies, Early Christianity, and the Greco-Roman World, with specialized focus on Women in Early Christianity, Jewish-Christian Relations in Antiquity, and Early Christian Martyrs. Her scholarly work integrates historical-critical methods with theological reflection to illuminate the socio-cultural contexts of early Christian communities.
She currently holds leadership positions as President of the Institute for Biblical Research and as a member of the Society of New Testament Studies.
