Lynn Bradley is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Finance and Chief Adviser of Studies at the University of Glasgow's Adam Smith Business School. She holds a BSc in Zoology from the University of Glasgow (1984) and is a Chartered Public Finance Accountant (National Audit Office) and Chartered Accountant (EY). With 30 years of experience in public and private sectors, her roles include senior positions in local government, management consultancy, and public audit.
Her research focuses on audit, public sector accounting, and governance. She chairs the Accounting research cluster at the Business School. Key external roles include serving on the boards of Revenue Scotland (audit & risk committee chair), OSCR (Scottish Charity Regulator), and Cash for Kids (finance/audit committee chair). Professional memberships include the ICAS Audit & Assurance panel and BAFA Scottish Area Group (treasurer/secretary).
Her recent publications emphasize public sector audit challenges, accounting education innovation, and the underutilized potential of government financial reporting. Teaching contributions include courses like Audit, Risk & Control and Public Sector Accounting. She actively engages in educational research, exploring reflective learning and student feedback analysis through opinion mining techniques.
