Neil Fletcher is a Senior Lecturer at the Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University, specializing in corporate governance and ethics. He has taught over 30 nationalities of students and maintains links with the nonprofit sector through consultancy work. Previously, he held roles as finance director of a £30m nonprofit group (MCDT) and group treasurer of a £100m venture capital-backed company (Mettis plc). His research focuses on interventionist approaches to governance, nonprofit accountability, and qualitative governance studies. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and serves as a non-executive Audit & Risk committee chair.
Education background: Trained in public practice with Pannell Kerr Forster, followed by senior financial roles in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors before joining academia in 2008.
