Lyndsay Newett is a mixed-methods sociologist serving as an Adjunct Researcher at the University of Tasmania's Faculty of Law and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian National University's National Centre for Indigenous Genomics (NCIG). She holds a PhD and BA from the University of Tasmania. Her work bridges sociological methodology, applied ethics, and public health, with a focus on genomic data governance, healthcare equity, and regulatory systems.

Research Interests: Lyndsay's research explores genomic data ethics, inclusive healthcare practices, and sociotechnical systems. She leads projects on community perspectives in genomics governance and public trust in research ethics committees. Her work aligns with UN SDGs addressing health equity, quality education, and social justice.
Teaching: With seven years of university teaching experience, Lyndsay has coordinated units in sociology, health, and cultural diversity. She has taught courses on social research methods, health sociology, and global perspectives on diversity at both the University of Tasmania and its School of Medicine.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with ANU's NCIG and UTAS's Centre for Law and Genetics on interdisciplinary projects. Available for collaborative ventures in industry partnerships, educational outreach, and public speaking engagements.
