Jane Nielsen is a Professor of Law at the University of Tasmania's School of Law, part of the College of Arts, Law and Education. She holds a Commerce/Law degree and is a practicing solicitor in Tasmania. Her research focuses on intellectual property law, health regulation, and genomic data governance, with particular attention to biotechnology innovation and AI in medicine. She has led projects on genomic data sharing ethics and regulatory frameworks for health technologies.
