Lynda Pickbourn serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Gender Studies at Mount Holyoke College, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Critical Race and Political Economy. Her scholarship centers on feminist economics and the political economy of development in Africa, establishing her as a leading voice in gender-focused economic research.

Her research investigates aid effectiveness, women's migration, informal employment, and green industrial policy within African development contexts.
