Elissa Braunstein serves as Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs and Professor of Economics at Colorado State University's College of Liberal Arts. She also holds the role of Editor-in-Chief of the journal Feminist Economics, and previously worked as a Senior Economist at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Her research focuses on macroeconomic policy's intersections with gender equality, care economy integration, and structural changes in labor markets, particularly in Latin America and the Global South.

Her research interests emphasize feminist economics, political economy of gender, development macroeconomics, and international trade.
