Lutz-Christian Wolff

Professor Lutz-Christian Wolff (Wei Lun Professor of Law) is a faculty member at the Faculty of Law, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he served as Dean from October 2019 to September 2024 and was previously Dean of the CUHK Graduate School (2014–2019). He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Passau (Germany, 2004–2009) and admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales (2004) and Rechtsanwalt in Frankfurt (1999). Currently on sabbatical leave, his research spans International and Chinese Business Law, Comparative Law, and Private International Law, with a focus on legal harmonization, AI’s impact on law, and corporate governance in multicultural contexts.

Recent publications analyze flexible law as a response to global crises and the CISG in cross-border trade.
