Dr Luke Oates is an Associate Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science at Middlesex University, affiliated with the London Sports Institute within the Faculty of Science and Technology. His research bridges physiology and performance analysis, focusing on thermoregulation in extreme conditions, netball performance metrics, and fencing physiology. He holds a BSc and MSc from Loughborough University and completed his PhD at the University of Hertfordshire in 2022. In 2023, he received the BASES Prof Edward Winter Early Career Researcher Award.
