Professor Lindsay Bottoms is a Professor in Exercise and Health Sciences at the University of Hertfordshire, leading the Centre for Research in Psychology and Sports. She holds a PhD in thermoregulation from Coventry University and has extensive experience in sports science roles at multiple institutions. Her research focuses on physical activity's benefits across populations including Crohn's Disease patients, adolescents with depression, and athletes in epee fencing.

Recent projects include the VECTOR trial on vibrational exercise for Crohn's patients, peppermint oil hypertension trials, and a Saudi Arabian diabetes intervention study. Awards include a 2014 Commonwealth Championships bronze medal in epee fencing.
Key collaborations include Queen Mary University, NHS Trusts, and the University of Central Lancashire. She has supervised numerous trials and contributed to over 80 peer-reviewed publications since 2010.
