His research focuses on theologies of divine transcendence across Graeco-Roman, Early Jewish, and Early Christian contexts. He emphasizes the incarnation as God's material revelation to humanity, particularly in John's Gospel, exploring how divine visibility and embodiment shape belief. His doctoral work argues that Jesus' visible presence enables belief through proximity. Future studies aim to analyze first-century conceptions of divine transcendence.
His recent publications include a monograph on divine visibility in the Fourth Gospel (Cambridge University Press, 2024) and articles in Harvard Theological Review and Presbyterion. He has presented at the Society of Biblical Literature conference (2021).
No formal awards or grants are listed. He advises no currently listed students. His academic work intersects biblical exegesis with theological anthropology, emphasizing how physical encounter with God underpins faith formation.
