Lucy Y. Liu is an Assistant Professor of Music Theory at the School of Music, Texas Tech University, holding a Ph.D. in Music Theory from Indiana University-Bloomington.
Her research centers on Brahms studies, Stravinsky's neoclassicism, Nikolai Medtner's theoretical writings, and tonal analysis—including Formenlehre, rhythmic theory, meter, temporality, and schema theory.
