معرفی
Dr. Lucy Okell is a Reader in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. She is affiliated with the Imperial College Network of Excellence in Malaria, MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis, and Malaria Modelling Research Group. Her research centers on mathematical modeling of malaria transmission dynamics and analysis of epidemiological data to understand disease burden, intervention impacts, and inform public health policy.
Her primary research interests include:
- Development of transmission models for malaria control
- Impact assessment of public health interventions
- Antimalarial treatment efficacy and resistance
- Malaria vaccine evaluation
- Drug resistance evolution and management
- Spatial epidemiology of infectious diseases
Recent publications demonstrate strong focus on:
- Drug resistance mechanisms and surveillance methods
- Novel clinical trial designs for chemoprevention
- Integration of molecular and epidemiological data
- Health economic analyses of malaria interventions
- Application of machine learning in disease forecasting
She mentors graduate students and contributes to global health policy discussions through her modeling work with international health organizations.
