Lucy Higgins is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics at the University of Manchester, based in the Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre. She holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Manchester (2015), a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Birmingham (2006), and is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2011). She completed GMC Specialist Registration in Obstetrics in 2022 and leads five major studies including START, MiNESS 20-28, and RESPIRE-I. Her research focuses on placental dysfunction, maternal health inequalities, and IVF-associated pregnancy outcomes, funded by NIHR, Tommy's, and others. She actively engages in public involvement through research advisory groups and supervises postgraduate students across multiple disciplines.
