Professor Alexander Heazell holds a Clinical Chair in the Division of Developmental Biology & Medicine at the University of Manchester. He directs the Tommy's Stillbirth Research Centre and leads research on placental dysfunction and perinatal mortality.
Clinical Service: Runs the Rainbow Clinic for parents with previous stillbirth, supported by Tommy's charity and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Research Impact: Contributed to national Confidential Enquiries into Perinatal Deaths and NHS England's Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle evaluation. Research portfolio spans basic science, clinical studies, and qualitative research on stillbirth prevention and care improvement.
