Lucy Catley is a Senior Lecturer in Food Safety Culture and Operations at Harper Adams University, a position she has held for seven years. With over 25 years of industry experience, she previously worked in further and higher education at institutions like University Centre Reaseheath and the University of Chester, specializing in food science and technology. Her expertise spans food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and apprenticeship programs across sectors including meat processing, dairy, and ready meals.
She holds an MRes in Food Safety and Security and focuses her research on food safety culture, food sustainability culture, and innovations in food science. Her professional memberships include the Higher Education Academy (HEA), SDT, and the Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST).
Lucy’s work integrates technical, quality, and environmental management practices. She emphasizes food security, business improvement techniques, and sustainable practices in food production.
