معرفی
Luciana Quaranta is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Lund University, affiliated with the Department of Economic History and the Centre for Economic Demography. She is also a member of the LU Profile Area: Proactive Ageing.
Her research focuses on historical demography, using micro-level data to analyze macro-level processes like the impact of early-life conditions on long-term health and economic outcomes. She contributes to debates on living standards, health inequalities, and gender roles in historical contexts, particularly in Sweden.
The 15 most recent publications highlight her work on Sweden's demographic evolution, including topics such as preschool attendance, food prices and wellbeing, early-life disease exposure, and maternal/infant health. These studies often intersect with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like Reduced Inequalities and Good Health and Wellbeing.
