Dr. Lucia Wuersch is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Charles Sturt University's School of Business, where she coordinates multiple HRM subjects including International Human Resource Management, Organisational Politics, Organisational Behaviour, and Strategic People Management. With an extensive intercultural background having studied and worked across European countries, Indonesia, and Australia, she brings global perspectives to her teaching and research.
Her research focuses on the intersection of Human Resource Management and Digital Internal Communication, with particular expertise in Regional Work and Organisational Resilience and Transactional Analysis in Organisational settings. Over the past decade, her scholarly output has grown substantially, with 55 research outputs spanning from 2017 to projected 2025 publications. Her research demonstrates a clear trajectory from foundational work in Transactional Analysis toward contemporary applications in digital workplace transformation, organizational resilience, and community-based sustainability projects like pollinator gardens. Recent publications show increasing focus on digital communication strategies, remote work adaptations post-pandemic, and workplace safety in disaster-prone communities.
Dr. Wuersch is actively involved in multiple research groups including the Regional Work and Organisational Resilience Sturt Group, Business Grounded Theory Research Group, and Gulbali Research Institute. She collaborates extensively with international researchers, particularly with colleagues like Anja Neher, Fiona Small, and others on interdisciplinary projects bridging HRM, communication, and environmental sustainability. Her community engagement extends to practical applications through projects like the pollinator garden initiative at Charles Sturt University, demonstrating her commitment to translating research into tangible community benefits.
