Luci Ramos Hoppe is a Clinical Associate Professor and the BSW Program Director at the Garland School of Social Work, Baylor University. She holds a BA in Social Work and Spanish (2002) and an MSW (2005), both from Baylor University. Her professional background includes school social work, child welfare in faith-based organizations, and developing marital education ministries. She currently leads the BSW program and participates in the School’s Diversity Initiative.
Her research and practice interests focus on field education, social work pedagogy, culturally responsive practice with Spanish-speaking populations, and integrating ethical faith perspectives into social work. She emphasizes generalist and advanced clinical work with families and children, reflecting her experience in private-sector and congregational settings.
Luci is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and resides in Waco, Texas with her husband Brian and their two daughters.
