Dr. Luca Morini is an Assistant Professor at Coventry University’s Centre for Global Learning (GLEA). His work focuses on game-based learning, critical pedagogy, and decolonising education. He holds a Doctorate in Education and Communication from the University of Milano-Bicocca and degrees in Psychology from the University of Bergamo.
Research interests include co-creation through playful methods, philosophy of research, and systems thinking. He has contributed to EU projects like BEACONING and Crowds4Roads, advancing ethical game-based learning frameworks. Recently, he emphasized decolonising and ecologising higher education via participatory methodologies.
He co-leads GLEA’s postgraduate programs, advocating flexible, reflective doctoral education. Awards include the QS Reimagine Awards 2023 and Gamification Award 2020. Current projects include LIDER (educational leadership), YOUROPE (youth democracy engagement), and Transforming Staff Doctoral Research.
