Sylvester Arnab is a Full Professor in Game Science at Coventry University’s Institute for Creative Cultures. His work focuses on game-based learning, hybrid learning spaces, and technology-enhanced education. He co-founded the GameChangers initiative, promoting inclusive and equitable education through playful approaches in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Arnab has secured over £19 million in research funding from UKRI, the European Commission, and others.

Research Interests: Game Science, serious games, gamification, hybrid learning environments, pervasive learning technologies, and trans-disciplinary interventions.

Advising & Teams: Supervises six PhD students and examines over 10 theses. Leads projects like FAiR (frugal artist-in-residence for environmental awareness) and GameAid (AI integration in Vietnamese education).
Labs & Initiatives: GameChangers, ACES (Community-centred Education), and the Centre for Postdigital Cultures. His book Game Science in Hybrid Learning Spaces (2020) explores gameful design in education.
