Luan Al-Haddad is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science, University of South Wales. He serves as Course Leader for Civil Engineering Masters degrees and Module Leader for the Industrial Placement sandwich year.
- PhD in Artificial Neural Networks
- BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering and Mathematics
- Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner and MSP Programme Manager
His research interests span civil engineering, hydraulics, hydrology, and mathematics for engineers, with a focus on curriculum development and industrial placement integration. He previously worked as a scientific project/programme manager and research manager for a decade, followed by five years as a consultant managing industrial sandwich years.
Currently, he delivers lectures in hydraulics, hydrology, and mathematics, while managing pre-sessional math courses at USW.
