Lu Ann Reeb is a Professor in the Journalism Department at Emerson College, where she teaches courses in TV News Reporting and Podcasting in Journalism. She also serves as Director of Entrepreneurship Studies and Business Studies, leading the Emerson Experience in Entrepreneurship (E3) minor. With a background as an Emmy Award-winning television executive producer and broadcast journalist, Professor Reeb brings extensive industry experience to her academic role.
Professor Reeb has played a key role in developing several academic programs at Emerson, including the Journalism and Media Innovation Graduate Program, the Business of Creative Enterprises major (launched in Fall 2016), and the Business of Creative Enterprises Graduate Program (launched in Fall 2022). From 2012-2014, she served as Graduate Program Director for the Integrated Marketing Communication Program and previously served as Assistant Dean in both the School of the Arts and the School of Communication.
Her research and professional interests focus on the intersection of media innovation and entrepreneurship education. Professor Reeb is a frequent speaker at media seminars, entrepreneurship conferences, and academic events, having presented at the 2016 International Media Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Forum in Beijing, China, where her talk was titled "Entrepreneurial Education Intersects with Media Innovation."

Before her academic career, Professor Reeb had a 20-year career as a television journalist at CBS Boston, where she worked as a reporter, producer, news director, and Executive Producer. She founded Boston Media Group and Legal Talk Network, LLC (which was acquired in 2012), demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit that now informs her academic work.
