Mike Beaudet is a Professor of the Practice in the Department of Journalism at Northeastern University, where he has taught since 2014. With over 20 years of experience as an investigative journalist, he works as a Multimedia Investigative Journalist at WCVB-TV in Boston as part of the ‘5 Investigates’ team.

His research and teaching focus on investigative journalism, video storytelling, and local TV news innovation. He emphasizes ethical challenges in journalism, particularly the tension between journalistic integrity and business interests, as explored in his master’s thesis.
Beaudet’s work has earned 16 New England Emmy Awards, including the 2016 Outstanding Investigative Report. He has also been recognized by the Associated Press and the Radio Television Digital News Association.
