Louisiane Verger is a CNRS researcher at the University of Rennes, affiliated with the Glasses and Ceramics Team (UMR 6226) since November 2019. Her work focuses on chalcogenide glass-ceramics, MXene materials, and sodium layered oxides. She has held postdoctoral positions at Drexel University (2018-2019) and ICMCB Bordeaux (2016-2017), with a PhD in Physics and Chemistry of Materials from IMPMC Paris (2013-2015). Her research combines mechanochemical synthesis with structural and electrochemical characterization.

Research Focus: Develops ionic conducting materials for solid-state batteries, studies chalcogenide glass crystallization, and investigates electrochemical properties of 2D transition metal carbides (MXenes). Recent work includes mechanochemical synthesis of glass-ceramics, structural analysis of NaGaS₂ systems, and thermal stability of boride ceramics.
Methodologies: Utilizes mechanical milling, X-ray diffraction, solid-state NMR, Raman spectroscopy, and electrochemical testing. Collaborates in materials engineering for photovoltaic applications and historical material analysis in porcelain pigments.
