Louise Pelletier is a Course Instructor (Vocal Coaching) at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, where she has served for over 20 years. Her roles include vocal coaching, accompaniment for Opera McGill, and work with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre Métropolitain and l’Orchestre Symphonique de Laval. She collaborates with leading conductors like Yannick Nézet-Séguin and institutions such as the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute (CVAI) and Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music’s Summer Opera Studio.
Education: Double Bachelor’s in Teaching and Performance, Master of Music in Piano Performance (studied with Nina Svetlanova in NYC). Additional training in accompaniment with Jacqueline Richard.
Research interests focus on combining musical and human development in students, emphasizing personalized repertoire and holistic artist growth. She mentors students who have excelled in competitions (e.g., Canadian Music Competition) and professional stages (e.g., Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden).
