Dr. Louise Horstmanshof is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Sciences at the Faculty of Health, Southern Cross University. She holds a PhD from Griffith University and has over 20 years of research and publishing experience. Her work focuses on health workforce education, productive ageing, simulation-based education, and inter-professional teamwork in healthcare.
Dr. Horstmanshof has led two Australian Department of Health grant projects and her team received a community engagement award for linking Nursing/Allied Health students with community aged care. She actively reviews for national/international journals and sits on committees for Dementia Inclusive Ballina Inc and the Australian Psychological Society North Coast Branch.
Her teaching spans undergraduate/postgraduate levels at SCU, Griffith, and Bond Universities, emphasizing curriculum development and online postgraduate course design. She supervises Honours/PhD students in health research and has developed units on systematic reviews and research proposal writing.
