Dr. Emma Lea is a part-time Senior Lecturer in Dementia at the Wicking Dementia Research Education Centre, University of Tasmania. She holds a PhD in Public Health Nutrition from the University of Adelaide and a BA (1st Class Hons) in Biological Anthropology from the Australian National University. Her research focuses on improving dementia care in residential aged care settings, emphasizing nutrition, hydration, and workforce capacity building. She has led projects like the Wicking Teaching Aged Care Facilities Program and contributed to initiatives addressing falls prevention and oral health care.
Key roles include:
- Project Manager for the Wicking Teaching Aged Care Facilities Program (2011–2015)
