Louise Grann is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of West Georgia's School of Social Sciences. She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Psychology from the same institution.
Research Focus: Combining psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives, she investigates personal growth through video gaming, particularly examining:
- Player-avatar emotional relationships
- Imaginative role-play in digital environments
- Character creation as self-exploration
- Therapeutic potential of gaming mechanics
Publications: Contributed to several gaming psychology anthologies, including works on Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Pokémon. Her upcoming 2025 chapter explores Jungian archetypes in game design.
