Erdal Asker is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the Richards College of Business, University of West Georgia. He teaches courses in Statistics for Business and Program Evaluation at both undergraduate and graduate levels. His research focuses on applied economics with emphasis on public policy evaluation, health economics, and development economics.
Dr. Asker's research examines critical socioeconomic issues including the impacts of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations, economic hardships during pandemics, child marriage dynamics, and the relationship between educational investments and civic engagement.
