Professor Louise Allan serves as Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Exeter's School of Health and Community Sciences and is a member of the Centre for Research in Ageing and Cognitive Health. She joined the university in June 2018 while maintaining dual honorary consultant roles at the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and Devon Partnership NHS Trust.

She contributes to the NIHR Exeter Biomedical Research Centre and Exeter Brain research network, advancing translational work in aging-related cognitive disorders through clinical trials and health services research.
