Louis VUARIN is an Assistant Professor in Management and Organization Studies at EM Normandie Business School since 2024, serving as Academic Director of the Master 2/MSc in International Marketing and Business Development. He holds a PhD in Management Science from ESCP Europe (2020), focusing on epistemic processes within organizations. His professional experience includes a post-doctoral position at Ecole Polytechnique/Telecom Paris (2021–2024) and prior roles as a risk manager (2011–2015).
His research interests span organizational secrecy dynamics, AI ethics, and resistance to technological innovation. Key areas include how organizations manage knowledge creation, implement AI systems, and navigate societal opposition to technologies like 5G. He frequently publishes in journals such as Innovations and M@n@gement, presenting at EGOS colloquia and other academic forums.
Vuarin teaches leadership, negotiation, and organizational sociology, emphasizing practical application of theoretical concepts. His work examines paradoxes in organizational transparency, the performative nature of innovation discourses, and historical case studies of clandestine coordination mechanisms. Recent collaborations include case studies on Boeing's 737 MAX crisis and Theranos' fraud, highlighting organizational and ethical failures in technology-driven industries.
His research methodologies blend qualitative analysis with case study approaches, addressing topics ranging from epistemic boundaries in secret organizations to the sociotechnical implications of AI regulation. Current projects explore how organizations balance innovation with accountability in rapidly evolving technological landscapes.
