Lorna Henderson is a Visiting Professor at the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, University of Oxford. She serves as Deputy Head of Operations at the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), collaborating closely with senior leadership to achieve NIHR objectives. Her key responsibilities include leading the BRC's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and acting as ISO 9001 internal auditor.
Her academic background includes a Sociology degree from the University of Glasgow, a Master’s in Public Health and Health Services Research from the University of Aberdeen, a PhD in Nursing Research from the University of Warwick, and the University of Oxford Said Business School Executive Diploma in Organisational Leadership.
Her research focuses on advancing equality and diversity in biomedical research, NHS patient experience studies, and healthcare leadership. She maintains active roles as an NHS Leadership Academy Mentor/Coach, graduate of the Mary Seacole leadership programme, and Executive Coach. She serves as College Advisor at Kellogg College and is a member of Pembroke College, University of Oxford.
Her professional achievements include pioneering EDI initiatives in translational research environments and contributing to organisational leadership frameworks in healthcare systems.
