Eamonn Molloy is a Research Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and Tutorial Fellow in Management Studies at Pembroke College. His academic roles include an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School and Adjunct positions in executive education. He holds a BSc from Lancaster University and UC Santa Cruz (1995), and a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Lancaster University (1999). His research focuses on complex organizational design, technological change, and temporary project-based organizations, with projects exploring optimism bias in project timelines and psychoanalytical tropes in organizational responses to threats.
Professionally, Eamonn has advised government bodies (NHS, Ministry of Defence) and private sector clients (Cadbury Schweppes, Unilever). He serves as Cohort Manager for the UK Cabinet Office’s Major Project Leadership Academy and runs his own advisory firm, Dr Eamonn Molloy Ltd. His non-academic roles include Honorary Group Captain in the RAF, Chair of The RAF Central Fund, and part-time flying instructor at West London Aero Club. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the International Consulting Economists’ Association.
Teaching and executive coaching are central to his work, specializing in leadership mentoring and action learning for senior executives. His research spans interdisciplinary topics like spatial analysis in organizations and the governance challenges of megaprojects, with outputs emphasizing strategic dynamics and organizational resilience.
