Lori Wilkinson is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the Faculty of Arts, University of Manitoba. Holding the prestigious Canada Research Chair in Migration Futures (Tier 1), she specializes in refugee resettlement, anti-racism, and gender-based violence. Her work bridges academic research with community impact, having influenced national immigration policies and international resettlement campaigns.

Wilkinson's research focuses on refugee resettlement dynamics, mental health outcomes post-pandemic, and intersectional approaches to gender-based violence against immigrant women. Her recent work includes a three-nation study on newcomer integration across Canada, USA, and Mexico, shaping post-pandemic policies globally.
Her publications span refugee children's educational integration, gendered violence frameworks, and pandemic-related social inequalities. Articles demonstrate methodological diversity covering topics like intergroup relations, statistical analysis, and multicultural policy design.
